Simple Herbal Drink For Blood Cleansing & Detoxification - Hung Teen Wu Plants

“Hung Teen Wu” plants & Dried Honey Dates (Mutt Joe)

This herbal drink can help to detoxify as well as to cleanse our blood circulation. Its Malay name is “Daun Kurma Merah” and it is known as “Hung Teen Wu” in Cantonese.

Boil these 3 bunches of “Hung Teen Wu”(weighing about 700gms) with 12 large honey dates (mutt joe) in a large pot containing 15 litres of water. This drink is to be simmered for at least 4 hours over a small fire, and then poured into bottles or jugs to be drank in place of water during the whole day (that’s why no sugar is added but the honey dates do provide some natural sweetness there.) Keep in the fridge when cooled.

There is this butcher in his 50’s who went for a medical checkup and was told by his doctor that he has three main arteries blocked, and he was scheduled to go for a bypass surgery in a few weeks’ time. He got frantic and went looking for alternative medicine to help him. He was recommended this Hung Teen Wu plant which he boiled with honey dates, and drank this in place of water everyday for 2 weeks. When he went back to his doctor, amazingly, his angiogram results showed that his arteries were no longer blocked and he need not have to go for the bypass surgery anymore. Wow! These days, he drinks this for health maintenance.

This drink is very good for removing blood impurities, “heatiness” in our body and body cleansing in general. This is a very gentle herbal remedy and is not known to have any side effects as it was actually an old Chinese herbal recipe. Happy Deepavali 2008

Hong Kong Recipe at Warisan Square

We were shopping or you might say window shopping lah at Warisan Square. Whenever we looked for food to eat, we always end at Hong Kong Recipe Restaurant. What is so good about this restaurant? I think the food is ok, service not bad and price is reasonable.

I had Hong Kong Ying Yang Cold Tea which is my favorite and my hubby, iced cold lemon tea.

I tried the chicken curry bun. It's not a bit spicy or hot. Just right for my taste and also one of my daughter 's favorite food.

The french toast is hubby's favorite.

Family Gathering

We had a small family get-together and at the same time celebrating my niece's birthday. It was supposed to be a welcoming gathering for our grand son/nephew on his first visit here. They were unable to come due to unavoidable circumstances. I guested everybody were quite disappointed as we were counting the days for their arrival. But anyway, we did have a great time.

We had 2 choices of cakes to eat, the green one was of course a green tea cake and the other, a carrot cake. Both were delicious.

MKA Dogs Show Kota Kinabalu

We saw a cute little dog with a union jack outfit in a bag. I think he is a terrier but he did not participate in the competition. We were at this Malaysia Kennel Association "MKA" Championship Dog Show held at the KDCA.



Wow, I have encountered never seen before pure breed dogs which took part in the championship. They are really great show dogs. I can name some of them, if I am not wrong, they are retriever (golden), doberman, german shepherd, beagle, daschund, terrier, pug, siberian husky, chi hua hua, pekingese, chow chow, collie ....
