Children Learn What They Live

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.

If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.

If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith.
If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with encouragement, he learns confidence.
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.

If a child lives with praise, he learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with acceptance and friends, he learns to find in this world.

Before and After Marriage

Before marriage.......

He: Yes. At last. It was so hard to wait.

She: Do you want me to leave?
He: No! Don't even think about it.
She: Do you love me?
He: Of course! Over and over!
She: Have you ever cheated on me?
He: No! Why are you even asking?
She: Will you kiss me?
He: Every chance I get.
She: Will you hit me?
He: Are you crazy! I'm not that kind of person!
She: Can I trust you?
He: Yes.
She: Darling!

New York New York in 1Borneo

I have been to New York. Just kidding, it's only an American Restaurant named New York New York at 1Borneo. There are 6 big posters' stands displaying the foods menus outside the restaurant, you can have a look at the menus and most important the price list. The photos of all the food are very tempting, price seems reasonable. It took me a few minutes standing there looking at the menus, looking back and forth, still undecided what to order. When I look around, a few numbers of people are there too. First timers, like me. I guess.

The restaurant is spacious and nicely decorated, especially the wallpaper with pictures of the statue of liberty, Manhattan, a taste of atmosphere in America.

I feel very relax sitting on the comfy seat. Menu Magazines are placed on every empty tables. More food choices to pick. It's almost 2.30 p.m. so I decide to order a light lunch.

An iced cold coffee latte costs RM5.50. Price is reasonable but taste not as good as coffeebean or starbucks.

Honey with waffles and ice cream costs RM7.90. Just okay. Used to eat this type of waffles at A&W but closed down now.

Maui Pineapple Crepe costs RM7.90. Strawberry very fresh but the pineapple filling a bit too sweet for me.

I'll come back again to this restaurant as I have not tried the Hawaii Teriyaki Chicken Chop which I heard it's good.

The Benefits of Walking

myspace layouts
Why walking is so good for you. Walking can help manage or eliminate many diseases and reduce your risks for others. Plus, it helps you sleep better, function better, feel better!

Walking is generally safe for most people. Of course, you should talk to your doctor, but for the most part, everyone can walk for fitness. The risk of injury is slight if you practice basic safety measures.

Walking is a great exercise. Here are some of the benefits you can get from walking thirty minutes a day:

• Increased muscle mass
• More energy
• Better aerobic conditioning for better endurance
• Improved heart health
• Better blood pressure readings
• Improved brain functioning

• Less pain from arthritis
• Better blood sugar
• Increased endorphin production
• Reduced risk of some cancers (colon and breast)
• Lessened risk of dementia
• Improved mood
• Less insomnia and better sleep quality

Walking is a fountain of youth. Many people are amazed by how much better they feel once they start a walking program. It doesn’t happen overnight, but you will likely see results pretty quickly. And, if you stick with it, several months or years from now, you will truly wonder how you ever made it without walking at least thirty minutes a day.

Tip to lose weight

The metabolism is at its best during mornings just when you have woken up and just before you have eaten breakfast. This means it will be easier to lose weight if you take a walk just after waking up.

Cha Soba (Cold Noodle)

Cha Soba or Cold Green Tea Noodles is made of buckwheat flour (soba-ko) and wheat flour (komugi-ko) with the added ingredient of fresh Green Tea leaves.
This is my first time eating this soba dish. It is not to my liking but my daughter simply love it.

The dipping sauce consists raw quail egg, spring onion, young sliced ginger, sesame seed, fried onion, soya and wasabi.

Just dip the noodles into the mixed sauce and eat it.

Eating out with friends

My daughter turns 15 today, she is celebrating her special day a day early with her close friends. It has been a trend among her friends to invite each other and dine at a restaurant to celebrate their birthday and later go for a game or see movies. What a way to celebrate and having fun.

Health Benefits of Mangoes

This is an enormous unripe mango.

Mangoes are an excellent source of Vitamins A and C, as well as a good source of Potassium and contain beta carotene.

Mangoes are high in fiber, but low in calories (approx. 110 per average sized mango), fat (only 1 gram) and sodium.

Mangoes are bursting with protective nutrients! The vitamin content depends upon the variety and maturity of the fruit, when the mango is green the amount of Vitamin C is higher, as it ripens the amount of beta-carotene (Vitamin A) increases.

Mangoes have antioxidant properties, which help reduce the risk for certain diseases, including cancer, and help fight and prevent infection; growth and repair of cells, tissues and skin; relieving allergy symptoms.

Mangoes have your skin and hair covered too. By eating mangoes you will be less likely to suffer from dry coarse hair and itchy scalp, brittle nails, pimples and other skin problems, all thanks to the amazing amounts of Vitamin A and beta carotene found within just one mango.

Here are some Mangoes' Recipes

Mango Lassi

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups plain low-fat yogurt
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup fresh mango pulp*
1/3 cup cold water
1 to 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (depending on how sweet you want it)
9 to 10 standard-size ice cubes

* Canned or frozen mango may be substituted

Method

If using a fresh mango, peel and remove the flesh from the pit; cut mango into small pieces.

In a blender, add yogurt, lemon juice, mango pulp, water, and honey or sugar. Blend approximately 2 to 3 minutes or until you see a little forming in the mixture. Add the ice and blend until frothy! NOTE: Some people like to pour the mango mixture over ice cubes instead of blending the ice cubes in the drink.

Mango Salsa

Fresh, sweet mango salsa is a delicious topping for grilled chicken or fish or crackers. Also great for dipping chips.

Ingredients

1 ripe mango, peeled, pitted, and diced (about 1 1/2 cup) (See: How to Cut a Mango)
1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeno chilli, minced (include ribs and seeds for a hotter taste if desired)

1 small cucumber, peeled and diced (about 1 cup)
3 Tbsp fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Also good with diced red bell pepper and jicama.

Method

Combine all of the ingredients in a bowl. Season to taste with salt and pepper. If the salsa ends up being a little too hot or acidic for your taste, you can temper it by adding some diced avocado.
